I am an independent consulting architect with over 15 years of experience in heritage conservation across Ethiopia and Africa. He specializes in managing built heritage projects that balance restoration, job creation, and long-term stewardship through training and local governance. His recent work includes World Monuments Fund projects at Lalibela, Jimma, the American Gebbi, and Debretsion, plus the W.E.B. Du Bois residence in Ghana. He has also collaborated with UNESCO on shelter assessments and capacity building. He holds an MSc in Urban and Architectural Heritage Conservation from EiABC, Addis Ababa University.
